Beach People

We like to consider ourselves wise coastal people now that we have lived here for over a year. We generally find ourselves well equipped for coastal living. We've invested in good rain gear, we bundle up when we go outside, and we generally avoid getting to close to the ocean. But yesterday's weather tricked us.

We went to the beach with only thin fleeces on because it was a balmy 60 degrees outside at 4:00 in the afternoon. We intended to stay and watch the sunset, but we just couldn't tough it out.

This is as close as we got before our cold noses and toes got the best of us.
Owen had fun though, and I think he managed to stay plenty warm chasing the tennis ball.
This view of the moonrise made it well worth turning our backs on the sunset.
And this is me and my belly, at 25 weeks, trying to get a few weak rays of Oregon sunshine.

You look super cute! It was good to get to talk with you yesterday. Good luck with all the decisions you have to make about baby preparations and gear.
