Niagara Falls

We took a hike to Niagara Falls last week...not the Niagara falls you're probably thinking of, but a beautiful little waterfall way out in the middle of the Siuslaw National Forest. The day was rainy off and on, but the perfect temperature for a hike, not too hot, but not too cold. It was a mile to the falls and Daniel walked the whole way there!

Levi rode in the backpack and he loved it!

Daniel was very excited to catch his first glimpse of the waterfall.

We found some interesting bugs and flowers along the trail.

The waterfall was definitely the highlight of the hike though. Levi couldn't take his eyes off it!

Daniel got to ride in the backpack on the way back, and Levi was in the front pack. All four of us were exhausted when we got back to the car and both boys were asleep within minutes of getting in their car seats. It was a family day well spent. :)

What a fun outling! It will be interesting when the boys get to see the "real" Niagara Falls.
