We are now settling in to the "new normal" of life with two kids. Both Levi and Daniel are doing very well. Daniel has been getting friendlier with Levi every day. The first day they met Daniel was not very interested in Levi - he really just wanted to explore the hospital room - but every day since then he has shown more interest in his little brother. When he wakes up from a nap, he goes and looks for Levi almost right away, and when he hears him fuss or make a noise he wants to check on him. Just today he started giving him kisses unprompted.
Levi is doing a great job learning how to be in the world. He has taken to eating quite well. It took a little over 3 days for my milk to come in, and in that time he lost 1 lb. 1oz. which made the nurse a little worried when we took him in for a jaundice check when he was 4 days old. They asked us to come back in two days, and when we went back he had gained 2 and half ounces which was great progress. He's been chowing down ever since.
He is quite a little cuddler too, which is something Daniel never really did. He loves to be held, so I've been using my sling and front carrier alot more with him. We've also found that if we want to sleep for more than a hour at a time at night, bringing him into our bed works best. One night we slept for 5 straight hours! If he's not in our bed the longest stretch he'll sleep is about 2 hours. I don't want Levi to get used to co-sleeping, but I really like the sleep we get when he cuddles with us, so we'll let it be for a few more weeks, then we'll try to get him in his own bed.
Here are some photos from the past few days.

Oh my goodness - the CHEEKS! I love them!! Samuel has the ear thing too, opposite sides though. He always pulls on the sticking out one when he is tired. So much for evening out! Please, kiss his cheeks for me!
