A Day at the fair

Last year Jeff and I went to the Tillamook County fair on the night of the demolition derby, and we had so much fun we decided to go again this year. It might just become a tradition for us!

We got there just as the Pig 'n Ford races were ending. This is race where guys drive model A Fords around a muddy track holding onto a sqealing pig. I have no idea where this race originated, or why it is so popular in Tillamook county, but hundreds of people show up to watch it.

After the Pig 'n Ford we walked around some of the 4-H stalls. In the garden section there were daliahs that were bigger than Daniel's head, although it's kinda hard to tell in this photo because the camera kept focusing on the background.

Then it was off to the Demolition Derby. I'll let the photos speak for themselves. It was a good show, and Daniel seemed pretty fascinated with all the sounds...until he fell asleep, that is :)
