My grandma, Darlene Sims, is in the hospital in unstable condition after being attacked by a swarm of the "killer" African bees. She was stung over 100 times on the head and doctors think it put her body into shock, because most of the poison has left her body, but she is still not recovering. She is dillusional and slips in and out of conciousness. It happened a week ago as she was walking her dog. The attack was bad and when the paramedics got to her she was not doing well, but they were able to get her help and they thought she would be ready to go home after a few days, but it has been over a week now, and she is not recovering mentally. She is a healthy, active, 74 year old woman who still has a lot of life to live.
My aunt Kris (my dad's younger sister and my grandparents only daughter) was killed in a car accident just a few months ago. My grandma and grandpa have been through a lot lately and they are not Christians, so they do not have healthy ways of coping with these difficult times. Please keep my whole family in your prayers as we all work through this, but mostly my grandma and grandpa (Guy and Darlene Sims). Pray that they will find comfort and peace in Jesus and that this does not pull them farther away from their family and those who love them.
