Levi is 18 months!

Our sweet little guy is 1 and half already (as of March 8)! He is our butterball, weighing in at 26 lbs, 32 inches tall, with a head circumference of 49.5 cm.

He is a silly guy who can make my smile just by walking down the hall, because he has a really adorable belly-first, bowlegged, stomping kind of walk.

He has a great vocabulary, but some of his most-used words right now are:
"Dan-o" - Daniel
"Tey, Dofus" - Teddy and Sophie (the two kids I babysit)
"Ain, Daris" - Aiden and Caris, two of his favorite people.
"Mess"
"No" - This usually means no, but sometimes means "yes". We have to rely on his body language to distinguish which one he is saying. He will often nod his head while saying "no".
"Push" - This often is part of the phrase, "Dan-o push" which he says whenever he has gotten hurt and I ask him what happened.
"Hey you" - He mostly says this when he wants to get my (Emily's) attention, or when he is looking for me in the house. I am not a big fan of being called "hey you", but I usually can't help but laugh when he says it.
"Heavy" - almost everything he picks up is "heavy".
"Bwan, Elmo" - blankie and Elmo, the two things he snuggles with every nap time and at night.
"Ooppie" - Oops
"Up, peas" - pick me up please. He is very good about using please, most of the time. If he is really adamant about wanting something (like a bite of ice cream) he will vigorously sign please while saying it.
"Doin'?" - What are you doing? Usually it is "Dad, doin'?" or "Dan-o, doin'?"
"Mine"

He loves playing with trains, coloring with crayons, and doing anything his big brother does. He really likes to stick things into things, i.e. shapes into the shape sorter, crayons into the shape sorter, cars into the shape sorter, etc.

Now that the weather is finally getting nicer, he really enjoys playing outside. His favorite things to do are throw rocks and sticks into our little pond, dig in the dirt with a shovel or play on our slide.

His favorite things to watch are Barney, Blues Clues. He even sings along with the theme song from Blues Clues by shouting out the words "paw pint" (paw print), "Coo" (clue), "Boo's boos" (Blue's clues). The rest of it he just hums while swaying back and forth.

He eats just about anything, but really loves "patza" (pizza), "ado" (avacado), "bana" (banana), "cackers, fish" - goldfish crackers, "milt" (milk) and "dees" (cheese).

He is very attached to the quilt that Grandma Louise made for him. It is a very cuddly blanket, but it is quite heavy for a little guy, so he has a hard time carrying it around the house. Sometimes I will hear him call out from down the hall, "Bwan, heavy, hey you!" which means that he wants me to help him carry his blanket into the living room.

Levi was sick for the better part of 3 months, so he spent a lot of time snuggling with his beloved blanky.

Every night before bed he asks to pray for Aiden, Caris, Teddy and Sophie.

He is learning body parts really well, able to point to most of them correctly. His counting usually goes "one, two, one, two, three, two. " Blue and green are the only colors he says if asked what color something is, but he can recognize most colors if we ask him to point them out in a book.

He absolutely adores his brother and will do (or try to do) everything he does, including climbing up a big slide and going down head first on his tummy .

Some funny Levi stories:
One afternoon all 4 of us were in the car. Daniel was singing something while Jeff and I were talking. During a lull in our conversation I heard Levi say "hey!" and then start humming. As Jeff and I listened we realized he was humming "Jingle Bells" (one of Daniel's favorite songs to sing) and shouting out "Hey!" every so often. It was super cute.

Almost every night and every nap time he takes his socks off in his bed. He thinks this is a very silly thing to do, so one of the first things he usually says to me when he wakes up is "docks off, toes, seey" (socks off, toes, silly), followed by a silly smile and then sticking his foot up in the air so I will tickle it.

For Easter we bought an egg dying kit that came with a sheet of stickers. There were all kinds of stickers from very boyish ones like soccer balls and fire trucks to girly ones like butterflies and flowers. There were also sheep, chicks, and colorful Easter eggs. When I held the sheet in front of Levi and asked him which ones he wanted to use to decorate his eggs, he pointed to and said the name of each ball on the sheet. He didn't even show an interest in anything but the balls. 100% boy!

We love you Levi Michael! I can't even begin to imagine how much you will change before you turn 2!
