Semi-Sunny Socal Sojourn - Part 4

Sea World!!!

This was a fantastic place to take the boys! Honestly, as we were leaving I was scheming up ways we could get back down to southern California soon so that we could go again! Sea World is perfect for all ages. Daniel LOVED the two shows we made it to, and Levi LOVED the Sesame Street playland and the huge fish tanks with tropical fish and sea turtles. We had such a great day here!

The dolphin show was pretty spectacular. There were people doing acrobatics up above the water, dolphins leaping and splashing (Daniel's favorite part) and even people riding on the dolphins.

The Sesame Street Bay of Play is where dreams come true. The boys got meet Elmo and Zoe! There were so excited! I was almost in tears watching the pure joy on their faces :) There were also some rides that we got to go on, which was a first for both boys and very exciting for them.

The Shamu show was incredible! Daniel did not want to sit in the splash zone, which was probably a good idea because we would have gotten soaked and it might have scared him. But watching the show from a safe distance was great. Those whales are amazing. This show was much more "interactive" than the dolphin show, mostly because the whole point of it is to get the whales to make the biggest splashed they can to get the crowd as soaked as possible. :)

For the most part, Daniel watched the shows very intently. He enjoyed them, and he loved the big splashes, but he had a very serious look on his face most of the time. To capture the moments of glee Jeff had put the camera on rapid fire shooting and just hope for the best. It was so sunny that Jeff couldn't really see the digital screen to see whether or not he was getting good photos, so the are a bit washed out, but out of about 50 pictures he did manage to get a few of Daniel's other facial expressions.

Daniel's serious face.

Daniel smiling at something funny.

My favorite. I can still hear him saying "Whoa!!!"

We stopped by the Sesame Street Bay of Play one last time before the leaving the park. While Daniel and I went on Zoe's Seastar ride (just like the teacups at Disneyland), Jeff took Levi over to a bounce house type thing for little guys. Levi had a blast just running around, falling, and bouncing for about half an hour.

And once again, both these boys were asleep before we even left the parking lot.
