We headed over on the 23rd and were blessed with clear roads the whole way. That gave us all of Christmas eve to just relax with Grandma and Grandpa ("Pa" according to Daniel) Sims, Uncle Evan ("En") and their dog Puma. Although Daniel had his first snow experience last year in Wyoming, this time around he was much more aware of it.
We all bundled up and tried our hand at a little sledding. Daniel wasn't very excited about the snow at first, but warmed up to it over the weekend. It may help that he got real snow boots and a down jacket from Grandma for Christmas, so playing in the snow was more fun after he had the proper attire.
After a cold bit in the snow, nothing's better than sitting under a blanket watching a little "Barn" (Barney) with Unlce "En".
Our big present to him was this great little piano, which he is having fun with. He also got a bunch of percussion instruments, so our house in now filled the sound of loud, beautiful music.
We played our fair share of Wii sports over the weekend as well. Everyone got involved, including Daniel and Grandma. :)
And of course, who can resist building a snow man with all that snow around? The snow was perfect for it and in no time we had a 6' tall snow man...mouse...thing. I guess we might need a little more practice.

Guess you didn't get enough snow to build a snowman at Bay City.
Glad you made that great one at Camp Sherman. What a nice way to celebrate Christmas with Granpa & Granma Sims.
Love & Hugs to all, Gram BL Sargent
