november

In keeping with the title of our blog - Life in General - I will give you a glimpse into the general comings and goings of our family in November.

We did some baking. Daniel has really enjoyed "helping" us in the kitchen recently.
We attempted an afternoon at the beach in early November, but it was really chilly. Daniel had fun but didn't fuss when we told him it was time to go.

This was Levi's first trip to the beach (sad, I know, seeing as how live minutes away), but he spent the entire time sleeping, bundled up in the front pack.

My parents came to visit for Levi's dedication in our church. It was a very special day and a fun weekend with grandma and grandpa. We love our church family so much!

We hosted bible study at our house in November. Our little house fills to the brim with 12 adults and 7 kids when everybody comes, but we love it. That group is such a blessing to us!

We went to the zoo. It was a beautiful day and we enjoyed experiencing the zoo through a child's eyes.
Daniel really liked seeing the elephants. The monkeys were fun, and the aviary too. He climbed on anything and everything his height, but his favorite thing at the zoo was...
...the lights. They were decorating for Zoolights, so every cage and walkway was lined with these little lights. He loved just walking along and running his fingers over the "ites".

We went up to Seattle to see Jeff's family for Thanksgiving. It was a wonderful and relaxing 5 day trip. We got to spend a lot of quality time with Roger, Louise, Anthony, Bethany and Diane. Daniel and Levi both soaked up all the attention. We played lots of games, ate delicious food, and Jeff and I even got to go on a date!

Roger had just had his knee surgery a few days prior to our visit, so he and Levi spent quite a few happy hours sleeping on the couch.Daniel decided he liked olives (he had tried them before and didn't like them), which helped him fit right in with the Sargent side of the family. :)
All the fun things we did in November apparently left Daniel worn out...

...and Levi pretty happy :)

Thank you for sharing all the fun pictures. We are looking forward to New Years weekend. Hope to hold the little one and play with Daniel. Just a reminder that there is room for you to stay at Russ & Phyllis on Sat night. 2 bathrooms and even laundry. It is comfortable place. Be fun to have Sargent clan together on Sunday at Clackamas Park. Love, Gram BL Sargent
