A weekend in Camp Sherman

On Saturday we headed over to Camp Sherman to see my family and to introduce Daniel to the community. Daniel and Owen were both great travelers, so we made it there with no big delays or issues. For most of the weekend we just relaxed around the house. Owen got to go on many walks (some with us and some on his own), Jeff got almost half-way through a good book, and I got to spend time with my family and old friends.

The main reason we went to Camp Sherman was for a baby shower for Daniel and another baby born to a friend of mine who also grew up in Camp Sherman. The baby is a sweet little girl named Neva, born to Matthew and Leslie Adams.
Two beautiful babies, Daniel and Neva.
The shower was just a laid back, come and go type of event for community members to come meet the babies. It was perfect. The weather cooperated and it was sunny and comfortably warm the whole day, the food was delicious, and we got to show off our sweet boy to many adoring fans. We left on Monday morning, but not until after a little incident involving Owen, a baby deer, a creek and a soggy Jeff. Then we met my grandparents, aunt and uncle in Salem for lunch. It had been about 3 years since we had seen all of them, so it was quite a pleasure.

All in all, it was a great, relaxing weekend! I even got a 2 hour nap in!

Sounds awesome. I'm glad you guys got the chance to visit everyone. I'm also glad Daniel and Owen are good travelers! Way to go, boys.

I love the pic of Jeff and Daniel in the sunshine. You look so happy.
