4th of July fun!

Our friends Ben and Suzi came out to the coast to visit us for the 4th of July. Suzi and I were roommates in college and we got together fairly often when we lived in Portland, but now we don't see much of them, so it was great that they could come out! They brought their mini doxie Bulow. Owen was very curious at first and Bulow was a bit nervous, but after a little bit of sniffing they seemed to get along just great. Owen was mostly interested in all of Bulow's cool toys though.

We spent the evening watching fireworks from Rockaway Beach with the Twin Rocks and Tilikum staff. The fireworks were beautiful. The weather cooperated. And there were tons of wonderful people around. The camp staff always knows how to have a good time! Owen and Bulow got lots of attention, although something about the bonfire frightened Bulow, so he spent most of the evening tucked inside Suzi's jacket. Owen did great. We weren't sure how he would react to the loud fireworks, but they didn't even faze him. It was a great 4th of July! We hope you all had a wonderful time too!
